Layup docs
Layup is a free sports Discord bot that posts live scores into the channels you pick. Its surface is small: one install prompt, two slash commands, and one feed per channel. These three pages cover that surface in the order most people meet it — install first, then how to narrow a feed, then what the prompt is asking for.

What installing it actually does
Authorising Layup does a few things before you run any command.
It creates a category called Only You Can See This. The @everyone role is denied View Channel on it, so it is visible to you, to the bot, and to nobody else on the server. Inside it sits a preview channel carrying a live sample of the alerts Layup can post, so you can judge the format before committing a real channel to it.
It also opens a support surface: a direct message to whoever installed the bot, falling back to a #layup-support channel inside that same private category if your Discord settings block DMs from server members. Replies there reach the Layup team.
Nothing lands in a channel your members can see until you add a feed yourself.
How a feed is scoped
A feed belongs to the channel it was created in, so a server ends up with as many feeds as it has channels doing sports. Each one is scoped by sport, by league or by team. The sport list is fixed at seven — Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Motorsport and Soccer.
The league filter is looser than its name suggests. Alongside individual conferences and competitions it holds broad meta-filters — All College Football, All College Basketball, All Golf Tours, All NASCAR — and single events: the Masters, the Open Championship, the Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600, the Brickyard 400. They all come back from the same autocomplete, so a channel can be scoped to one tournament or one race weekend rather than a whole season. The two commands are documented option by option.
What these pages do not cover
They describe the bot, not the coverage.
