Discord Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Discord applications operated by Layup Inc. ("Layup," "we," "us"). They're separate from the Terms of Service for the Layup mobile app.

Each is a separate Discord application with its own name and slash command, and they are the same service: the same live sports data, delivered by the same system, under these same terms. "The Bot" below means whichever of them you installed.

By adding the Bot to your Discord server, you agree to these terms.

What the Bot Does

The Bot delivers live game scores and player statistics to Discord channels. It covers the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA, college football and college basketball, golf, motorsport, and major soccer leagues including the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, MLS, and Champions League.

Server administrators configure feeds using the Bot's add slash command (to subscribe a channel) and remove (to unsubscribe); the command is named for the application you installed. The Bot also opens a direct message with the administrator who installed it, for support.

The Bot provides informational sports data. It does not facilitate, promote, or enable wagering of any kind.

Who Can Use It

Any Discord server can add the Bot. Slash commands require the "Manage Server" permission in Discord — only server administrators can configure feeds. There are no geographic restrictions. Users must meet Discord's minimum age requirement of 13.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

You're responsible for how your server uses the alerts the Bot delivers. We aren't responsible for actions taken by your server members based on information the Bot provides.

Service Availability

We make a reasonable effort to keep the Bot running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Sports data comes from third-party providers and may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Game schedules change. APIs go down. We'll do our best, but things break sometimes.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot at any time, with or without notice.

Content and Intellectual Property

Alert content — scores, statistics, market data — originates from third-party sports data providers and is delivered through the Bot for informational purposes. You may not republish, resell, or commercially redistribute this content.

We don't claim any ownership over your Discord server's content, channels, or members.

Market Data

Layup can additionally show market data (point spreads, over/under totals, player performance lines) alongside game scores, where a server administrator turns that category on for a feed. It is off by default on our single-sport applications and is never the only thing a feed carries.

Where it appears, it is informational context only. It reflects publicly available market information and is not financial advice, wagering advice, or a recommendation of any kind. Layup does not operate, endorse, or affiliate with any wagering service, and the Bot places no bets and takes no money.

The accuracy of market data depends on third-party providers and may not reflect real-time conditions. Don't rely on it as your sole source for any decision.

Termination

You can remove the Bot from your server at any time through Discord's server settings. We can revoke the Bot's access to any server that violates these terms, Discord's policies, or applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

The Bot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Layup is not liable for:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layup's total liability for any claim related to the Bot is limited to $0. The Bot is a free service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
